As children, we dreamed of joining the Organization of Homeless Soccer Players, but gainful employment and shelter proved to be obstacles. Thankfully, Fark TV recreated their tear-jerking and odoriferous struggle for those of us who dare to dream.

The Gates Foundation has poured $218 million into polio and measles immunization and research worldwide, including in the Niger Delta. At the same time that the foundation is funding inoculations to protect health, The Times found, it has invested $423 million in Eni, Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil Corp., Chevron Corp. and Total of France — the companies responsible for most of the flares blanketing the delta with pollution, beyond anything permitted in the United States or Europe. The dawn of the web has given the word "publishing" a whole lot of new dimensions. In fact, the web is nothing but about publishing after all. Publishing means basically making content, mainly text, images and multimedia available for a broader audience. Since such a wide audience can now reach the web, online media has become an interesting channel for publishing. There are several advantages of online publishing, amongst which the most important one is probably the timeliness. Publishing on the web has become more or less instant, particularly since the rise of "Web 2.0", the participative web.

Rave MA student Oliver Collier from Scottland his project Puffer Sphere on display at the Science museum. From BBC online: The Puffer Sphere is an inflatable ball on which images can be projected, said Oliver Collier - one of its creators. Oliver Collier said the idea of using the inflatable as a display grew out of an undergraduate project at the University of Edinburgh to use it as the basis for an interactive art installation. Mr Collier and friends have set up a company to market the Puffer Sphere and it is already getting a lot of interest from artists, exhibitors and event organisers."Some artists are creating bespoke content for the sphere that exploits the characteristics it has got," said Mr Collier. A two-metre sphere is on display at the Science Museum but Mr Collier said the ball could be 10 metres across or even hung from a ceiling.
